It does not take a lot of effort to have a delicious and decadent dessert. A favorite of mine is sliced nectarines (or peaches, the photos here are nectarines) cooked with butter and brown sugar in a large cast iron pan, and served over vanilla ice cream. How much butter and brown sugar you use will be dictated by how many nectarines/peaches you use. I recommend at least one medium nectarine/peach per person, and a full stick of butter and heaps of brown sugar work well for 2-3 servings. Of course how much you use is up to you, and you can’t really go wrong with what you choose. Cook them as long as you like, but make sure you let them cool just a bit before serving. The butter and brown sugar used to cook them in will coat them better as it cools. Cheers!
